TOM TOM IS TOM TURN OFF, May 8, 2010
Bought one....went onto the TOM TOM Website to update and register it and it froze could not get it to work. Sent it away for repair and was sent back a replacement. Again went on the TOM TOM website followed the instructions and yet again IT STARTED TO SWITCH ON , SWITCH OFF, FREEZE , WOULDNT TURN OFF Everything apart from giving me directions .....so you either buy one and dont try to download upgrades ( voices , maps etc ) or be very careful when going online with it !!!!.
Route type thingy, May 6, 2010
Got a new job, needed to travel, kept getting lost, need a gizmo, picked this one, installed straight out box, no problems, never got me lost, no problems, no fancy gimmicks, not loads of features but no need for them, happy with purchase, the end!
Happy as a tramp with chips.
I know where I'm goingAt 70+, May 3, 2010
At 70+ I have had to become the main driver. I realised that I was fine if I knew exactly where I was going, but very nervous about finding my way to any new destination. I had a few refresher driving lessons, and my teacher suggested I buy a SatNav because my driving was okay. Revelation! Wish I'd had one years ago.
The Tom Tom that got lost in Wales, April 22, 2010
I gave this a good test during a three day visit to Milford Haven, Wales. Got us lost on a couple of roads going to nowhwere using the postcode when we were driving to one of the sheltered bays. No problem coming back though so not sure why this happened. Very easy to set up although connecting the power cable is not always that easy either from mains or car charger. Still a long way to go with this driving tool.
