Very poor, May 8, 2010

My out of rush hour journey to work typically takes 50 to 65 minutes, using the Nuvi it took 85 minutes with no traffic hold ups or delays. Never mind, I thought it favours main roads. Wrong. In Kent last week we were within 10 minutes of our destination when it took us up a side road, then lanes then round in circles. Went back to using my brain and arrived safely. These were all done using the fastest setting. The shortest setting has worked so far but is not for the nervous.

This is my first sat nav. Before buying it I read the reviews which I found so helpful(when deciding whether to buy it or not and setting it up). I really like this item. Just so easy to use and recalculates automatically when you take the wrong/different turning to the one suggested. I have poor sense of direction but with this sat nav, the lanes are well displayed. I can now drive with confidence to unknown places.

I bought the Garmin Nuvi after much research into other makes - I found the voices clear and concise, I especially like the fact that the Garmin, unlike most other SatNavs, gives the actual name of the street in which you are in, or about to turn into. Also I found the screen shots clear and am able to navigate from one screen to another very easily. I like the fact that this Navigation system was very good on price in Amazon and I don't think I would have got a better system if I had paid more. Also I have an iphone and it has paired with it extremely well - I am able to receive calls easily and the voices are clear. I can recommend this Satellite Navigation system and say wholeheartedly that it is one of the best I have used, and I have had a few!!!!

Very easy to use, love the wide screen, excellent value for money, particularly like the bluetooth connection for handsfree phone.
